Unit measure: pcs
For testing to NATO STANAG 2897 NM-A (Non- Magnetic, Annex C, Ed. 3) with AEODP-07 Idealisation (pre-magnetisation)This magnetic ranging laboratory is supplied portable in palletised form: consisting of two pallets containing magnetic ranging system inclusive test cell and optional laptop with appropriate software.
Enabling rapid field deployable magnetic ranging, including idealisation, ranging and calibration with computer recording. Low background within cell allows tests to be performed rapidly by semi-skilled staff.
Field testing applications include verification and validation of Mine-Counter-Measures (MCM) equipment, inclusive anchors, rebreathers, sonar systems, diver delivery vehicles and personal dive equipment inclusive watches, dive computers, dive knives and fins.
Test cell is a cylinder comprising two layers of Mumetal (2mm, 1mm), achieving less than 20nT pk-pk total background noise over the spectrum of NATO STANAG 2897 NM-A measurement measured in the centre of the cell. The layers are separated by non-magnetic spacing material for isolation and alignment.
The chamber is fitted with:
- Turntable for up to 0.8m diameter individual item size
- Background recording
- Software Filtering to remove background noise
- Automatic background neutralisation (removing the background signal from the test)
This coil can also self-degauss the test cell (recommended in periodic service).
Calibration coils are provided for 1nT to to 40μT in five ranges, with fixed power supplies.
Control interface records the background field, which can be used either automatically or manually to null the system, before measuring the device fields. The output is shown for each of the X,Y and Z axis.
The system also has a differential mode, where it can measure the field in any one axis against a sensor in the same axis at 100mm further away: this is useful for debug where a person scans the anomaly manually.
The turntable is run from the same interface, for synchronised results, with logging to the test files as well as real time plots.
Portable with aid of forklift and appropriate magnetic hygiene considerations.
Manufactured by Open Safety Equipment Ltd in Scotland; with datasheet available to approved military clients.
